Will Young started his domestic cricket career with Central Districts in the 2011/12 season and after years of perseverance, he was selected for the New Zealand Test team in 2018, although he did not get the opportunity to play.

Will Young represents New Zealand in all three formats of the game. In addition to playing for the senior national team, he has also captained the New Zealand U-19 team. He has represented Central Districts and Central Districts A in the domestic circuit.

Hailing from New Plymouth, New Zealand, Will Young faced a long wait for his chance due to an injury. But, he made a comeback in 2020 and finally made his Test debut for New Zealand against West Indies.

In terms of his statistics, although Will Young has played only 13 international games, it is important not to judge him solely based on these limited appearances. In Test matches, he has played 4 games and scored 227 runs. He has also played 2 ODIs and 8 T20Is, accumulating 12 and 126 runs respectively.

In March 2021, Young made his debut in ODIs and T20Is against Bangladesh. He was later included in the Test squad for the India series, where he achieved his highest score of 89 runs on Indian soil.

But, his true talent as a player can be seen in his First-Class record, where he has scored 5506 runs at an average of 42.68 in 86 matches. In List A matches, he has scored 2110 runs in 63 games. Additionally, he has played 80 T20 matches and has amassed 1869 runs.

While there is no final confirmation about Will Young’s marital status, he is often seen with a woman named Elise Yule, who is believed to be his girlfriend. He has also shared several pictures with her on his official Instagram account.
