In October 2019, Natalie Ruth Sciver revealed that she was engaged to another England cricketer, Katherine Brunt. They had planned to marry in September 2020, but unfortunately, their wedding had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
But, they eventually got married in May 2022. After their marriage, both players decided to change their last name to Sciver-Brunt. But, it was officially announced in January 2023 that they would be using this hyphenated name in all cricket-related instances.

Natalie Sciver, born in Tokyo, Japan, is a renowned English cricketer. Her mother, Julia Longbottom, is a British diplomat who was stationed in Japan at the time of Natalie’s birth and currently serves as the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Japan. Natalie’s father, Richard, is a business executive.
During her childhood, Natalie also lived in Poland, where she played women’s league football, and in the Netherlands, where she played basketball. Natalie later attended Epsom College in Surrey, England, where she played cricket alongside her future England teammate, Alice Davidson-Richards, who also became a Test centurion. Natalie pursued her studies in sports and exercise science at Loughborough University.
Her cricket journey began as a teenager, playing for Surrey club side Stoke d’Abernon. She excelled in cricket at school and represented the Epsom College school 1st XI for two seasons. Her talent led her to the Surrey county team and eventually the England Women’s Academy.
Natalie made her debut for the full England side during the 2013 limited-overs series against Pakistan. In a Women’s T20 International (WT20I) game against New Zealand, Natalie Sciver made history by becoming the first England cricketer to take an international T20 hat-trick.
Sciver holds one of the first 18 ECB central contracts for women players, announced in April 2014.
