Akeal Hosein is a famous spinner, acrobatic fielder, and useful batsman for the West Indies cricket team. Akeal was born on 25 April 1993 in Port of Spain. Akeal made his debut in domestic first-class cricket in 2013 and later played in T20s and ODIs a year later.

At the age of 30, Akeal had to work hard for around 8 years to earn a place in the West Indies team. His opportunity came when senior players opted out of the Bangladesh Tour in 2021, and Akeal has never looked back since then. Akeal emerged as the leading wicket-taker for the West Indies in the T20 World Cup 2021.
