Umran Malik Biography:
Umran Malik was born on 22 November 1999. Umran is renowned as Team India’s current fastest bowler and hails from Gujjar Nagar, Jammu. Umran made his Twenty20 debut on 18 January 2021 while representing Jammu & Kashmir in the 2020–21 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Similarly, his List A debut occurred on 27 February 2021 in the 2020–21 Vijay Hazare Trophy.
In September 2021, Sunrisers Hyderabad included him as a short-term COVID-19 replacement for fellow pacer T Natarajan during Indian Premier League 2021. Subsequently, Umran made his international debut for India in June 2022 against Ireland. His One Day International debut was in November 2022 against New Zealand.
During the 2021 Indian Premier League, Umran gained fame as one of three net bowlers in April 2021. His IPL debut happened on 3 October 2021, playing against Kolkata Knight Riders. Notably, Umran Malik caught attention during a match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore, where he consistently bowled at speeds exceeding 150 kmph.
As a result, Umran Malik was chosen as a net bowler for India’s team in the 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Furthermore, Umran made his first-class debut on 23 November 2021, representing India A against South Africa A.
