Swastik Chikara cricket Career:
Swastik Chikara first came under the spotlight when he broke Shane Dadswell’s world record by scoring 585 runs in 167 balls during a local tournament at the age of 16 in 2019. South Africa’s Shane Dadswell held the place with 490 runs in 2017. This outstanding inning contributed to his team setting a world record as well by scoring a total of 704 runs.
Subsequently, Swastik Chikara earned a spot in the Uttar Pradesh U25 team for the Col CK Nayudu Trophy in January 2020. His performance was outstanding with a score of 371 runs in six matches and a batting average of 53.00.
List A Career: Swastik Chikara made his List A debut for Uttar Pradesh on November 25, 2023 playing against Himachal Pradesh in the 2023-2024 Vijay Hazare Trophy held at Chandigarh. Swastik played an inning of 117 runs in 101 balls and Uttar Pradesh won the match by 7 wickets. Additionally, he has also played five List A matches where he scored 200 runs at an average batting rate of 33.33 and a strike rate of 109.28.
T20 Career: Swastik Chikara scored a brilliant century in 57 balls for Meerut Mavericks in the Uttar Pradesh T20 League 2023. He was the second highest run scorer in the tournament with 494 runs, in 10 innings at a strike rate of 173.33.
IPL Career: Swastik Chikara was selected at the IPL Mini Auction held at Dubai on December 19, 2023. Swastik Chikara was included in their team by Delhi Capitals at an auction price of Rs 20 lakh for the 2024 Indian Premiere League.
Swastik was also selected as an opening batsman for Delhi Capitals. Additionally, he had also participated in trials for IPL teams Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals.
International Cricket: Swastik Chikara has yet not made his debut for International cricket. He is yet to play his first ODI or T20I or International Test Cricket.

Swastik Chikara was born in Atora Nagla village of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Swastik Chikara has received education along with cricket coaching, and passed class 12th examination from Aster Public School located in Greater Noida.
Swastik Chikara started participating in local tournaments at a very young age of 10. Swastik Chikara played a brilliant inning of 226 runs on 57 balls in the Syed Hamid Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament where Aster Public School defeated Kalka Public School by 255 runs and he was elected as the man of the match.
Swastik Chikara Family Background:
Swastik Chikara was born in a middle class family. His father Surender Chikara is in Delhi Police and his mother Sudha Chikara is a housewife.
His elder sisters – Savita Chikara and Sheel Chikara, are excellent track and field athletes hence Swastik comes from an athletic family. His father ( Surender Chikara) also have a history of playing in the national level athletics and is currently an umpire of the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association.
Swastik’s father encouraged Swastik to play cricket and gave him coaching after he saw his current coaching institute was not suitable. His mother used to take him every day to the cricket academy which was 16 km away from their home in Muradnagar to Ghaziabad but his father decided those coaching were in vain.
His father then decided to train Swastik himself starting from curating wickets with his own hand to buying his son a bowling machine and fixing 12 wickets at their training ground. He overcame all his struggles to provide his son the best level of cricket coaching.
