Known for his big-hitting prowess, Dubey made a mark by smashing a quickfire 58 against Bengal, helping his side win in the record run-chase against Bengal in this season’s Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Dubey, who’s played in 20 T20s since his debut in 2021, has notched up 485 runs at a strike rate of 145.20. In this season’s Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, he smashed 225 runs at a strike rate of 187.28.

Dubey showcased his talent by scoring 221 runs in seven innings during the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy, with an impressive strike rate of around 190. One of his standout performances was a quickfire 58 off a mere 20 balls, proving his impact player status in Vidarbha’s historic chase of 213 against Bengal. This remarkable feat marked Vidarbha’s highest-ever successful chase, accomplished with 13 balls to spare.

The bidding action began with Delhi Capitals initiating the bid for Dubey at his base price of Rs 20 lakh. Both Rajasthan and Delhi engaged in a consistent battle for the Vidarbha player until the latter eventually pulled out, leading to Rajasthan Royals securing his services.
