Domestic Career: Shoaib Bashir started his career as a player for club cricket for Guildford, age-group cricket with Surrey and Middlesex, and played Minor Counties cricket for Berkshire. He also played club cricket in Fall 2022 for the Lindfield District Cricket Club in Australia.
Shoaib Bashir was selected for the 2023 season by Somerset on October 8, 2022 after his impressive performance in Somerset Second-XI fixtures. He took 9 wickets against Warwickshire Second XI at an average rate of just 14.11 with a best of 5 for 44.
Bashir played warm-up games in red ball cricket prior to April 2023, and also continued playing Second-XI matches for the county in the beginning of the 2023 season.
