Sameer Rizvi has become an overnight sensation after being acquired by Chennai Super Kings for ₹8.4 crores in the IPL 2024 Auction. Sameer Rizvi Family Background:

Born on 6th December 2003 in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh to Haseen Rizvi and Rukhsana Rizvi, Sameer was always inclined towards sports and cricket in particular. His father Haseen is a local property dealer while his mother is a homemaker. Sameer has an elder brother Afseen Rizvi and a younger sister Naba Rizvi. 

Sameer’s maternal uncle Tankeeb Akhtar played an important role in kindling his passion for cricket. He started accompanying Akhtar to coaching camps at an early age and trained under his guidance at Gandhi Bagh Academy in Meerut. Sameer initially opened the batting but later shifted to middle order after displaying talent against spin.
