Grace Harris started playing cricket when she was 15 yrs old and quickly displayed a natural passionate talent for the sport. Grace Harris is a All-rounder who has played many domestic Women’s Cricket matches starting as a member of Queensland fire in 2010. Grace Harris started playing internationally for Australia in the year 2015 and was selected for the Australian Women’s WT20I team against Ireland.
Domestic Career: Grace Harris made her debut for Queensland Fire Women’s cricket team in the year 2010 when she was only 16 years old and soon became a regular member of the team. She was selected to play for the Brisbane Heat in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) in 2015. She scored 103 runs off just 55 balls and also took 4 wickets in her second match against Sydney Sixers and became a key player for the team, helping them win their first WBBL title in 2019. She was also named the Player of the Match.
She was again selected in the Brisbane Heat’s squad for the 2018–19 Women’s Big Bash League in December 2018. She scored the fastest innings of 100 runs in the WBBL on 42 balls on December 19, 2018. She scored 2 centuries in 2 days for Western Suburbs in the Queensland Premier Cricket league held in December 2020.
International Cricket: Grace Harris was selected in the Australian Cricket Team in the year 2015 for the WT20I. She was named as replacement for Delissa Kimmince in the T20I squad in June 2015, and made her T20I debut against the Ireland Women’s T20I team on August 19, 2015 as the part of Australian women’s cricket team in England.
Grace Harris was named in national squad for WODI and T20I for Australia in January 2016 to be played against India. She made her Women’s ODI debut on February 2, 2016 for Australia against India held at Canberra. Additionally, she has played in 10 WODI and 42 WT20I matches so far. She played as a member of the Australian squad that won the 2018 ICC Women’s World T20, where she scored 8 runs on 5 balls and took a wicket.
